Retail Notes: Dollar Generals to Northwest Jacksonville; Walmart remodeling three stores

JEA received a service-availability request for Concept Development Inc., which develops Dollar General Stores, for a proposed 10,640-square-foot retail store at Soutel Drive and Norfolk Boulevard.

At Edgewood Avenue North and West 12th Street, the city calculated a mobility fee of $91,759 for Concept Development LLC to build a 10,640-square-foot store on 2 acres. 

RaceTrac to Northwest Jacksonville

The city is reviewing plans for RaceTrac to build a gas station and convenience store of 8,100 square feet and 20 fueling positions on 4.39 acres at 6635 Pritchard Road, at Perimeter Industrial Parkway West in Perimeter West Industrial Park.

Connelly & Wicker Inc. is the civil engineer. RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. paid $2.6 million for the site Dec. 15. The land is at northeast Interstate 295 and Pritchard Road. 

Walmart renovations

The city is reviewing permits for Walmart to renovate its Supercenters at 10991 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin, 6830 Normandy Blvd. in West Jacksonville and 13227 City Square Drive in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville, each at a cost of $500,000.
