TD Bank will renovate its Gate Parkway branch now that the city issued a permit Nov. 1 for ICS Builders Inc. to alter the space at a cost of $475,000.

New York City-based ICS Builders will make interior alterations to 4,476 square feet of space at 9715 Gate Parkway N. TD Bank confirmed in July the Gate Parkway store will be renovated in fall 2021.

The Gate Parkway branch is at TD Bank’s Jacksonville leadership offices building. The bank leases 24,490 square feet at the structure.

It is the second TD Bank office to be approved for renovation in recent days.

Vericon Construction Co. LLC of Orlando will renovate the 1,746-square-foot building at 1326 Prudential Drive at a project cost of $555,624.

In addition, the New Jersey-based financial institution leases 30,031 square feet of office space for a new operations center on the full third floor in Deerwood North at 4600 Touchton Road E. and will renovate the space over the next year.

The city issued a permit Oct. 4 for Ajax Building to renovate that call center space at a cost of $4.8 million. The bank targets spring 2022 for occupancy.

TD Bank announced July 14 that it will bring more than 250 jobs to Northeast Florida over two years, including 200 customer service and operations positions and the rest among branches.

TD Bank said it will bring new retail branches to the area, creating the additional jobs. It said it operates 10 stores in North Florida and a total of 153 statewide.

New Jersey-based TD Bank said it employs about 440 people in Jacksonville and more than 2,300 across the state.

“Florida is experiencing growth unlike any other state in the country and the addition of our new operations center and the enhancements we’re making to our store network are investments in the Florida Market for years to come,” said Nick Miceli, TD Bank Regional President, Florida Metro, in a news release in July.
