One Night Taco Stand intends to open at 8221-1 Southside Blvd. in the former corner Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Deerwood Station.

The landlord applied for a zoning exception for the sales and service of all alcoholic beverages for One Night Taco Stand #03 LLC.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop had the same exception with the condition that outdoor dining could happen only with the consent of the nearby Jacksonville Country Day School. One Night Taco Stand already has locations along San Jose Boulevard and in Orange Park.

Onenightjax.com says it is a “locally owned authentic Mexican taqueria where you can enjoy delicious Mexican street food. We serve creative appetizers, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, salads, specialty tacos and more. Also choose from steak, chicken, pork and seafood entrées.”

The city also is reviewing plans for Wendy’s to remodel at 7211 Normandy Blvd. at $250,000.

Elfrink Custom Construction Inc. of Oviedo will renovate the interior of the Starbucks Coffee Co. shop at 11850 McCormick Road at a cost of $150,000.

Checkers to Dunn

The city is reviewing building-permit applications for Checkers to build a restaurant at 4105 Dunn Ave.

The project costs total $764,500 on 2.6 acres.
