The Ramada by Wyndham Jacksonville Hotel & Conference Center and an adjacent commercial/parking parcel were sold for $10.8 million, according to deeds executed Nov. 17 and recorded Nov. 19 with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.

The buyer, Ormond Beach-based Starr Properties LLC, bought the properties through Orlando Terrace Apartments LLC.

The 35,293-square-foot hotel on 5.95 acres at 3130 Hartley Road in Mandarin sold for $4.8 million. The adjacent 1.38-acre parking lot sold for $6 million.

Fred Pozin and his family owned the 150-room hotel, along with its Gigi’s Restaurant and The Comedy Zone nightclub, for nearly four decades.

Pozin retired as the hotel’s general manager Nov. 17 when the sale was completed.

“The Pozin family ran a great business. We are honored that they chose us,” said Ty Lohman, CEO of Starr Properties, as the sale closed.

The staff at the hotel will remain in place and the guest rooms, restaurant and bar area are scheduled to be renovated in 2022, Lohman said.
