First Watch plans to open a 4,282-square-foot restaurant at 7 a.m. Oct. 25 in Ortega Park.
The restaurant is at 4407 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 585, in the former Roosevelt Square.
“Since opening the doors of our first Jacksonville restaurant just shy of a decade ago, the response from the local community to our fresh approach to breakfast, brunch and lunch has been astounding,” Tom Shackton, vice president of operations, said in a news release.
“To be opening the 10th location in this beautiful city is truly overwhelming and we look forward to continuing to serve the fine people of Jacksonville for many more years to come.”
The new Ortega Park location is expected to employ 30 people.
Dine-in customers will receive free coffee during the first five days in operation and a free travel mug will be offered to the first 120 customers.
First Watch’s menu offers breakfast, brunch and lunch made-to-order including avocado toast, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, breakfast tacos and lemon ricotta pancakes.
Seasonal selections beginning Nov. 1 are a caramel pecan cinnamon roll, short rib poutine hash and cinnamon chip pancakes.
The restaurants also serve fresh juices and Project Sunrise coffee, which supports an independent group of female farmers in Colombia.
The Ortega Park restaurant also will feature First Watch’s alcoholic beverage program, which allows guests to order cocktails made with fresh juices and creations such as cinnamon toast cereal milk made with coconut rum, cold brew coffee, coconut milk and agave nectar.
First Watch serves its full menu from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. daily.
There are more than 420 First Watch restaurants in 28 states. The restaurant concept is majority owned by Advent International, a private equity firm.
