E-commerce shipping and logistics company ShipHero announced Oct. 22 it acquired Jacksonville-based Cargo Cove Fulfillment.
Garnerville, New York-based ShipHero said Cargo Cove offers fulfillment and shipping services to more than 50 e-commerce brands that will now be integrated into its business.
The Cargo Cove website says it was established in 2017 by Robert McFaul to outsource shipping in the e-commerce industry. It says it has shipped more than 1 million orders.
The company’s headquarters is at 1501 Haines St. in Eastside, about 1½ mile north of TIAA Bank Field.
“We are thrilled to have Cargo Cove Fulfillment join ShipHero. Robert and his team are committed to excellent customer service, so it already feels like an incredibly natural integration,” said ShipHero founder and CEO Aaron Rubin in a news release.
“On top of that, the location enables us to do even more for our customers. We’ll now have a dedicated team that can reach Florida and much of the South East in the next business day.”
ShipHero, founded in 2013, says it serves more than 5,000 brands and merchants. Its customers include Mars, Universal Music Group and Canadian Tire.
The company received a $50 million investment from Riverwood Capital in June.
