True Storage Jacksonville intends to redevelop a former charter school site at 4751 Walgreen Road into a two-level, climate-controlled storage center.
The city is reviewing a permit application for Contractor Construction LLC of Manchester, New Hampshire, to remodel two buildings totaling a proposed 65,298 square feet at an estimated construction cost of $1.5 million.
The property in the Brentwood and Norwood area, most recently was the SALTech School for Accelerated Learning and Technologies charter high school.
Four LLCs bought the 6-acre property for $3.25 million on Sept. 10, 2021, from AEP Charter SALTech LLC of Portland, Oregon.
The TrueStorage.com site says the project is coming soon.
True Storage, a national self-storage developer based in Manchester, says on the site that it produces premium Class A storage space through conversions and new construction.
“Through partnerships with national self-storage companies, the facilities are managed and operated, meeting customer and community expectations for quality and service,” it said.
It partners with CubeSmart, for example.
