Jacksonville-based Newfold Digital, which creates websites for businesses worldwide, registered 38 brand names with the state the second week of August.

From Aug. 9-12, Newfold registered the fictitious names that range from “339 222 5132” to “yourwebhosting” with the state Division of Corporations.

The phone number connects with Buydomains.com, another name registered by Newfold Digital.

Newfold Digital Communications Manager Paola Lorenzo said Aug. 15 that the filings stem from the February 2021 merger of Jacksonville-based Web.com Group and Endurance International Group, based in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Lorenzo said it was “two powerhouse online presence companies coming together for a BIG win for small business owners worldwide.”

Newfold Digital says it creates websites for “millions of customers” worldwide and is the third largest web presence provider.

Jacksonville remained the headquarters, while Web.com Group and Endurance International Group each had their own portfolio of brands.

Web.com brands include Web.com, Network Solutions and Register.com

Some of the brands were registered in Burlington.

“However, all of our brands then needed to be registered in Florida,” because the merged company is  headquartered in Florida, Lorenzo said.

That’s why the 38 names were registered with Newfold Digital Inc. listed as the owner.

Newfold Digital is based at 5336 Gate Parkway, the former headquarters of Web.com Group.

Newfold Digital said it is a leading web and commerce technology company serving nearly 7 million customers globally.

Its brand portfolio includes Bluehost, CrazyDomains, HostGator, Network Solutions, Register.com, Web.com, Yoast and others.

“We help customers of all sizes build a digital presence that delivers results. With our extensive product offerings and personalized support, we take pride in collaborating with our customers to serve their online presence needs,” the company said.

It says it has 30 office locations in 17 countries to serve “millions of diverse, small- to medium-sized businesses worldwide.”

It says it has more than 4,500 employees.

Web.com CEO Sharon Rowlands became CEO of Newfold Digital.
