Signs are slated for the CAVA name to replace Zoës Kitchen in Bartram Village.

The city issued three sign permits for CAVA at 13920 Old St. Augustine Road, No. 101, at a cost of $7,200. The contractor is Interstate Sign and Light of Longwood.

In Duval County, there are at least four Zoës Kitchens being converted into CAVA Grill, also a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant.

The city approved a permit June 30 for Embree Construction Group Inc. of Georgetown, Texas, to convert the 3,000-square-foot Bartram Village Zoës Kitchen into CAVA at a cost of $285,101.

It approved a permit Aug. 8 for Embree Construction to convert the 3,000-square-foot Zoës Kitchen in Brooklyn Station on Riverside at 90 Riverside Ave., No. 607, at a cost of $175,000.

The city approved a permit June 2 for Embree to convert Zoës Kitchen at St. Johns Town Center into CAVA Grill at a cost of $175,000. That 2,230-square-foot restaurant is at 4624 Town Crossing Drive, No. 149.

In addition to the three permitted, the city is reviewing an application for a CAVA Grill renovation of the 3,569-square-foot Zoës Kitchen at 10422 San Jose Blvd. in the Mandarin area.

Zoës also operates at 240 Florida A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Washington, D.C.-based CAVA Group bought Plano, Texas-based Zoës in late 2018 and has been converting the locations.

Zoës offers a Mediterranean-themed menu that includes hummus, falafel, salads, soups, pitas, kabobs, plates, bowls and sandwiches.

CAVA Grill features a build-your-own line for diners to choose among bases, dips and spreads, proteins and toppings, including lamb meatballs, roasted vegetables and grilled chicken. It serves bowls, pitas and salads.
