Altar’d State, a women’s clothing store, moved within the center to the former Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids space at 4712 River City Drive, No. 131.
NEW STORE
Founded in 2014 in Stamford, Connecticut, the men’s high-performance activewear store opened at 4791 River City Drive, No. 125, next to Lush and Athleta. It is the chain’s eighth retail location and its first in Florida.

Work continues on Ballard Designs, the home-decor furnishings, design and accessories store that is moving from St. Johns Town Center to The Markets of Town Center.
It is renovating the former Blackfinn Ameripub at 10275 Buckhead Branch Drive, No. 101.
It plans to open the store in 2023. Its current store remains open during the development.
OPENING SOON
Known for its “Instagrammable walls,” celebrity sightings and couture lollipops, the restaurant is coming to 4910 Big Island Drive in The Markets at Town Center.
The chain gave two opening dates, Dec. 26 in a Twitter post and Jan. 9 on its website.
The location is the former Brio Tuscan Grille.
COMING IN FALL
Vertical construction is underway for the $18 million, 118-room AC Hotels by Marriott at 5323 Big Island Drive near RH in St. Johns Town Center.
Signs at the site say the hotel will open in fall 2023.
The four-story, 71,700-square-foot project includes 1,400 square feet of meeting space and an outdoor pool.

Modani Furniture will open in the first quarter of 2023 at 4853 Big Island Drive in the building with Amara Med Spa.
Miami-based Modani says its focus is “on simple geometric shapes rather than the heavy ornamentation typically found in traditional or contemporary furnishings.”

Tecovas, the Texas-based handcrafted boots company, opened its first Florida retail store Dec. 16 at 4663 River City Drive, No. 128, between Offline by Aerie and Banana Republic.

Insa, a cannabis products company, is renovating the former Black Creek Outfitters building at 10051 Skinner Lake Drive near Bono’s and Wawa.
It plans the site for a Florida flagship cannabis dispensary.

Light On The Sugar Bakery & Cafe, 4860 Big Island Drive, No. 2, in The Markets at Town Center. It is the third location for the Winter Park-based chain. The menu includes cakes, tarts, crepes, coffee and specialty drinks.
Clean Juice, 4890 Big Island Drive, No. 3, in The Markets at Town Center. Florida football veteran Tim Tebow is the brand ambassador and franchise partner for the chain, which has three locations.
