Retail, Banking Notes: CubeSmart self-storage facility to Mandarin

The city issued a permit Dec. 17 for Shamrock Building Systems Inc. of Austell, Georgia, to convert a former Mandarin furniture store at 10830 San Jose Blvd. into a CubeSmart self-storage facility at a cost of almost $1.9 million.

CubeSmart L.P. bought the property, built in 1983, in 2011 from Anita and David Maron. It more recently had operated as the Encore Decor used, vintage and consignment store.

Plans show 18,024 square feet will be converted. CubeSmart operates a self-storage center nearby across Plummer Cove Road.

Two 7-Elevens planned in St. Johns County

Two 7-Eleven stores are planned in St. Johns County. JEA received a service-availability request for a 5,093-square-foot 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store at Bartram Springs Parkway in Bartram Pointe in St. Johns County.

St. Johns County is reviewing plans for a 4,060-square-foot 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store at southwest Beacon Lake Parkway and County Road 210 in Beacon Lake in St. Augustine. 

Common Oak Engineering LLC of Orlando is the civil engineer for both projects.

Truist Bank in Arlington, Norwood 

Truist Bank is building out two offices. One is 3,000 square feet at 7001 Merrill Road, No. 4, in Dames Point Plaza in Arlington at $700,000. 

Another is 3,065 square feet at 5258 Norwood Ave., No. 15, in Gateway at $719,600.
