Massey Services acquires Peninsular Pest Control

Orlando-based Massey now has more than 800,000 customers nationwide.

Massey Services announced July 6 it acquired Jacksonville-based Peninsular Pest Control Service Inc.

Peninsular, founded in 1954, offers pest control and lawn services to 30,000 customers in Northeast Florida.

The terms of the deal were not announced. 

Massey Services was founded in Orlando in 1985. It has 177 locations and 2,600 employees.

It offers pest prevention, termite protection, landscape and irrigation services to nearly 800,000 customers.

Massey has service centers in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Massey said the acquisition is its fifth in 2022 and the ninth in the past 12 months. In June, it acquired  Safeguard Pest Control in Harlingen, Texas, according to Pest Control Technology online.

LR Tullius Inc., a San Diego-based mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, represented Peninsular Pest Control in the transaction.
