Steve Moore appointed to UNF board of trustees

The Vestcor president is a former assistant dean at the Coggin College of Business.

Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Clarence “Steve” Moore to the University of North Florida board of trustees.

Moore, a St. Johns county resident, is president of The Vestcor Companies Inc. where he is responsible for operational and investment decisions, strategic planning and company growth.

He also is a member of the Duval County Research and Development Authority, the state agency that oversees development of First Coast Technology Park at UNF.

Moore previously was an assistant dean of the university’s Coggin College of Business and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UNF.

The appointment is subject to confirmation by the state Senate.
