Chairs, co-chairs and vice chairs of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s standing committees met for orientation July 13 at the JBA offices at Wells Fargo Center.
The committees facilitate continuing legal education in specific fields of law and coordinate community service and social events for association members.
JBA President Fraz Ahmed said one of his goals for his one-year term is to expand the member benefit offerings that are created by the committees.
“We are looking for ideas. Even if something starts with five or six people, it can grow,” he said.
Ahmed also said all JBA members are invited to attend any committee meeting and get involved. Visit jaxbar.org and click on Events for specific committee meeting schedules.
Leadership roles are available on the Bar Bulletin, Corporate Business and In-House, Health and Mental Health and Wellness committees. For information, contact JBA Executive Director Craig Shoup at [email protected] or (904) 399-4486.
