Retail Notes: Circle K to Emerson and Philips

Sam’s Club, Walmart remodeling.

The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing an application for Circle K to build a gas station and convenience store at 3649 Philips Highway, at the former Taco Bell site at Emerson Street and Philips Highway. 

The proposed 5,200-square-foot building is planned on about 1.5 acres. Kimley-Horn and Associates is the civil engineer.

The existing 2,345-square-foot restaurant building will be removed.

Sam’s Club, Walmart remodeling 

The city issued a permit July 7 for a $1.14 million remodeling of Sam’s Club at 6373 Youngerman Circle in Southwest Jacksonville.

The work includes interior and exterior demolition; a new shop-in produce-dairy cooler; a new fresh juice bar; new and remodeled refrigerated cases; a remodeled sales area; and more.

C.C. Borden Construction Inc. of Jacksonville is the contractor.

FMGI Inc. of Woodstock Georgia, is remodeling the Walmart Supercenter at 13490 Beach Blvd..

The $1.25 million project includes the customer service area, restrooms, garden center, signage, break room and more.
