InLight Real Estate Partners of Ponte Vedra Beach is buying and selling North Jacksonville land.

InLight paid $4.85 million for 19.11 acres at 9850 and 9886 New Berlin Road on July 8.

Managing Partner David Burch said July 13 the property includes a trailer and container storage yard that InLight plans to expand.

InLight bought the property through New Berlin Road Jacksonville Propco LLC.

Plan J Partners LLC, led by President Mitchell Swanson, sold the property.

“It’s part of our broader strategy to acquire outdoor storage yards in port markets,” Burch said.

That was its strategy for the Somers Road property in North Jacksonville it bought last year.

At Somers Road, an affiliate of InLight paid $14.95 million for the 65.3-acre site near JaxPort.

InLight now is selling some of it.

BG Capital, a Philadelphia-based real estate investment company, paid $11.175 million on July 15 for 20.5 acres to develop an almost $101.2 million industrial cold-storage project.

BGCap.com says the company will buy the land at 8730 Somers Road to build the 272,400-square-foot Jacksonville Cold Storage.

The site now is a storage area for trailers, shipping containers and automobiles.

BGFP Jacksonville LLC bought the property from Somers Road Jacksonville Propco LLC.
