Retail Notes: Construction permit in review for Baymeadows Wawa

The city is reviewing a permit for construction of a Wawa gas station and convenience store at 8742 Baymeadows Road.

 The 6,119-square-foot store is planned on 3.78 acres at southeast Baymeadows Road and Baymeadows Way, near Interstate 95.

Brightwork Real Estate Inc. of Tampa through BW Baymeadows Way LLC paid $775,000 for the site March 31, 2020.

The city calculated a mobility fee of $327,628 to mitigate the traffic impact.

Wawa also in Arlington, Bartram

The city issued a mobility fee calculation certificate of $165,789 for Wawa to develop its proposed 5,636-square-foot gas station with 16 fueling positions and a convenience store on 1.9 acres at University Boulevard and Arlington Road.

Also, the St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing a permit for construction of a 5,636-square-foot Wawa on a 2.03-acre outparcel at Bartram Market.

The site is along Race Track Road near Bartram Park Boulevard.

JEA received a service availability request for an unidentified gas station at 6322 Race Track Road in St. Johns County. Bowman Consulting is the civil engineer.

That is at Gatlin Development Co.’s Grand Cypress development at southwest U.S. 1 and Race Track Road, the former greyhound racetrack and poker room site.
