The city is reviewing a permit for Auld & White Constructors LLC to renovate 1,451 square feet of space for BurgerFi in the former Brooks Brothers store post-security in Jacksonville International Airport. The estimated cost is $800,000.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority said construction will start in early 2022 and be completed by late summer.

Brooks Brothers closed and does not plan to reopen.

Starbucks coming to Philips Highway

The city is reviewing permits for construction of the building shell for Starbucks at 3725 Philips Highway at a cost of almost $1.29 million.

The 2,562-square-foot project is planned on 1.26 acres at southeast Philips Highway and Emerson Street, near Interstate 95.

Checkers to Moncrief Road

The city is reviewing a permit for construction of a 984-square-foot drive-thru Checkers restaurant at 5402 Moncrief Road W. at an estimated cost of $750,000. 

The site is at Moncrief Road and Soutel Drive in Northwest Jacksonville.
