Gateway Town Center in the Brentwood area is gaining a new tenant with a Roses Discount Stores location.

The city issued a permit March 11 for R.E. Crawford Construction of Sarasota to renovate 38,588 square feet of space for Roses at a cost of $1.3 million.

A brochure by landlord Gator Investments shows Roses as “coming soon” at 5258 Norwood Ave., spaces 7-8.

Brentwood is north of Springfield and Downtown.

The discount retailer has other stores in Jacksonville.

It is part of Henderson, North Carolina-based Variety Wholesalers Inc.

Rosesdiscountstores.com says:

“By always offering quality items at (a) low price, our customers don’t have to chase down clearance sales or coupons constantly.

“We know and believe that you deserve a place to find all you need and want in one convenient location.”

It sells clothes, shoes, home décor, kitchen supplies, toys, auto accessories, outdoor items and more.

Roses posted online last week for a Roses Discount Store/Variety Wholesalers Inc. store manager and assistant store manager for Jacksonville. It posted last month for a district manager in Jacksonville.
