Gov. Ron DeSantis’s office announced March 21 that James Kallaher is appointed to the bench in the 4th Judicial Circuit.

A Clay County resident, Kallaher is a partner at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin in Jacksonville.

He graduated from the University of Missouri and Florida Coastal School of Law and is a U.S. Navy veteran.

After admission to The Florida Bar in 2001, Kallaher was an assistant state attorney in the 4th Circuit until 2003 when he went into private civil litigation practice.

Kallaher was one of five candidates for the seat nominated by the 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission on Feb. 11 from a pool of eight applicants.
