Marlon Starr joined the Jacksonville-based RS&H engineering, architecture and consulting firm as chief legal officer.
Starr is responsible for overseeing legal activities of the company including corporate governance, complex commercial and government contracts, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and litigation matters.
He previously was senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at RentPath, a digital media company that owns Rent.com and ApartmentGuide.com.
Starr received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1985 and his law degree in 1989 from Emory University in Atlanta, where he began his career as an associate and then partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell.
