Boston-based Lobstah on a Roll announced plans for a Nov. 19 soft opening of its St. Augustine restaurant.

It is the chain’s third location and the first in Florida.

The restaurant, at 34 Granada St., is across the street from the Lightner Museum in the historic Downtown area.

“The unique taste of New England will be on display, even in this decidedly more southern setting,” Lobstah on a Roll owner Dave Spinney said in a news release.

Spinney had been looking to open a location in the St. Augustine area, where his daughter lives, for the past five years, according to Lobstah on a Roll marketing partner Raymond De Padua.

The chain features “Dinner Plattahs,” sandwiches, chicken wings and tenders, “Green Monstah Burgers,” tacos, soups and salads. There are also “Fenway Franks” and desserts.

“We have clam, haddock, scallops and shrimp available on our platter menu for those visitors looking for a traditional seafood meal,” chef Kenny Dupree said in the release.

There are two Lobstah Rolls on the menu, sold at market price.

The Bostonian, $24, features a split-top roll with 4 ounces of lobster. The New Englander, $36, includes 6 ounces of lobster.

Sandwiches include the Wicked Famous Fish Sandwich, with fried Alaskan pollock, tomato, onion and pickle for $14. The Classic Burger is $9.

Dinner Plattahs, which include coleslaw and fries, include the Hojo Plattah, deep-fried clam strips for $16 and the Oyster House Plattah, $10.

A bowl of Clam Chowdah is $8 and a full house salad is $9. Chicken, lobster and shrimp can be added for an additional charge.

“While we are bringing this regional delicacy to a whole new market, we see the St. Augustine location as more than just a place to get a great sandwich,” Spinney said.

“We want to give everyone in the area a taste of a beloved New England tradition.”

According to its website, Lobstah on a Roll is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

 The restaurant also offers catering.
