The city issued a permit for Elfrink Custom Construction Inc. to build-out a 2,500-square-foot Starbucks Coffee shop at 3725 Philips Highway at a project cost of $400,000.

Ladson Construction Co. built the shell structure.

The location is at southeast Philips Highway and Emerson Street.

Across the street, Circle K Stores Inc. intends to build a 5,200-square-foot convenience store and gas station with 14 fueling positions on almost 1.5 acres at 3649 Philips Highway.

It’s the site of a closed Taco Bell.

Circle K seeks an administrative deviation from the city zoning code to increase the number of offstreet parking from 19 to 23 spaces and for relief from the zoning code for the perimeter landscaping on the southeast border of the site.
