Atlantic North adding Chipotle Mexican Grill and GNC

Atlantic North, the Sleiman Enterprises shopping center at northwest Kernan and Atlantic boulevards in East Arlington, is adding a building that will include Chipotle Mexican Grill and vitamin and supplement retailer GNC.

The city issued a permit Oct. 21 for Target Contractors Inc. to build the 7,613-square-foot retail shell building on 1.46 acres at 11919 Atlantic Blvd. at a cost of $668,900.

The site has been cleared.

The multitenant retail building is planned next to the Panda Express and the planned Chick-fil-A. 

It is on Outparcel B at the shopping center at northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.

The site plans show that Chipotle and GNC are two tenants in the building, which also is addressed as 11921 Atlantic Blvd.

Chipotle will lease 2,609 square feet of space GNC will use 1,200 square feet. There is space for two more tenants.

Kirk Irvin is the local GNC franchisee who also has locations in Bartram Park, Nocatee, Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach.
