Whataburger, with at least eight locations in Northeast Florida, continues to add prototype restaurants with drive-thrus in the area.

The new ones include:

• The previously reported double-drive-thru prototype restaurant at 8325 Southside Blvd. at southeast Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road. The 3,214-square-foot restaurant is planned on about 1 acre between Walgreens and AutoZone.

The agent, engineer and architect is Sevan Multi-Site Solutions of Downers Grove, Illinois.

The construction cost is estimated at $2.1 million.

Peter Sleiman Development Group, through Dow Equities LLC, is the property owner.

Civil engineering plans show that Silvercreek Whataburger is the developer.

• A prototypical restaurant at 6733 103rd St. in West Jacksonville. JEA received a service availability request from Sevan Multi-Site Solutions for the Whataburger with a drive-thru on a shopping center outparcel that is used as overflow parking.

• A 3,000-square-foot Whataburger at the site of a bank building to be demolished at 105 CBL Drive in Cobblestone Village in St. Augustine. The St. Johns County Growth Management Department is reviewing an application for the restaurant on 1.16 acres. Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is the applicant.

Others with the new design are in development at 11559 Atlantic Blvd. and at 10600 San Jose Blvd.
