The Chop Shop Artisan Butcher is open at 50 Silver Forest Drive, Suite 103, in the Silverleaf community, its second location in St. Johns County.

The original opened in 2018 at 600 Anastasia Blvd. on Anastasia Island.

Both are in St. Augustine.

The store specializes in meat, poultry, and made-in-house sausages. It also has prepared seafood, some fruits and vegetables, as well as charcuterie, herbs, spices and specialty items.

Brian Whittington and his partners Ben Zimmerman and Anthony Quintieri, own the company.

Whittington is a James Beard Award nominated chef who had operated Preserved Restaurant in St. Augustine. He had been the lead chef at Restaurant Orsay in Avondale for four years.

“The home cook should have access to the freshest and highest quality products. That’s what Chop Shop is about – providing the best ingredients we can find,” Whittington said in a news release.

Chop Shop Artisan Butcher hours at both locations are 9:30 a.m-6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
