The city issued a permit Dec. 1 for exterior revisions to the former TGI Fridays in Regency Park for conversion into two tenant spaces for Banfield Pet Hospital and Starbucks Coffee Co.

RAM General Contracting & Development Inc. of Tampa is the contractor for the $750,000 project at the 7,032-square-foot building at 9406 Atlantic Blvd.

The building at 9406 Atlantic Blvd. is planned for Banfield Pet Hospital and Starbucks Coffee Co.

The architect and engineer is CPH Inc., with offices in Jacksonville.

The city approved site work Dec. 28, 2022, at a cost of $100,000 to redevelop the site.

Banfield will open a veterinarian clinic but will not have overnight stays or boarding.

Starbucks now leases at CB Square nearby at 9333 Atlantic Blvd. The Regency Park space shows interior and patio seating and a drive-thru.

Construction plans show Brixmor/IA Regency Park SC LLC of New York City as the property owner.

TGI Fridays closed at Regency Park as of March 2019. It was built in 1988.
