Hyatt Place hotel in St. Augustine sells for $49.5 million

The 120-room property was built this year and opened Oct. 11.

The Hyatt Place hotel at 117 Vilano Road in St. Augustine sold Dec. 4 for $49.5 million.

Elite Hospitality LLC of Ormond Beach sold the property through R & R Hotels LLC to Brimstone Partnership LLC, also of Ormond Beach.

Brimstone Partners took out a $14 million mortgage Dec. 4 with Cogent Bank of Orlando.

The sale consists of the hotel and two vacant adjacent parcels at 105 and 115 Vilano Road.

The hotel is on 1.15 acres and was built in 2023. It opened Oct. 11.

St. Johns County Property Appraiser records show the building is valued at $25,654,964 and the land at $1.75 million.

The hotel has 120 guest rooms. There is a combined 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

Amenities include a restaurant and bar, pool and 24-hour fitness center.

Rooms include 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and blackout curtains.

Room rates currently range from $130 to $296 per night.

The Hyatt brand is owned by the Pritzker family of Chicago. It has 210 hotels with more than 90,000 guest rooms.
