Fifth Third Bank expanding in Northeast Florida

It's adding two branches and renovating another.

Fifth Third Bank has been expanding in Northeast Florida.

As of Sept. 30, Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bancorp had $205 billion in assets and operated 1,080 full-service banking centers and 2,146 Fifth Third-branded ATMs in 11 states throughout the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. 

It has 11 locations in Northeast Florida.

In the past several weeks:

• The city issued a permit Jan. 26 for Stockton Maintenance Group of West Palm Beach to renovate the 2,576-square-foot Fifth Third Bank at 11683 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin at a cost of $291,475.

• JEA issued a service availability determination letter Jan. 20 for Fifth Third Bank to build a 1,900-square-foot office building and double-drive-thru on 1.1 acres along Apex Trail in eTown. BDG Architects of Tampa is the agent. The parking lot will include 14 EV charging spaces.

• JEA issued a service availability determination letter Jan. 26 for Fifth Third Bank to build a 1,900-square-foot building and double-drive-thru at 155 Bartram Market Drive in Bartram Market in St. Johns County. BDG Architects of Tampa is the agent.
