Loomis Armored US LLC is preparing for the estimated $3.6 million build-out for its expansion into Imeson Landing Business Park in North Jacksonville.

The city is reviewing a permit application for Construction Services Inc. of Tampa to renovate 29,400 square feet of space at 1250 Imeson Park Blvd., No. 300.

Phil Durbin, vice president of projects with JLL in Houston, is the project manager.

He expects the project will be ready for Loomis to relocate from Spring Park in July.

Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. is the civil engineer for the project, called Loomis Armored US Terminal Facility tenant renovation.

Developer Merritt Properties announced Sept. 27 that it signed Loomis US as its first tenant at Imeson Landing Business Park to  expand local operations.

Houston-based Loomis provides cash-handling products and transit services to financial institutions and commercial and retail businesses nationwide.

It is visible with its armored vehicles.

Loomis US is an integrated cash distribution network with nearly 200 locations across the country that provide cash-handling products and services to financial institutions, retailers and other commercial businesses.

Merritt Properties said the new facility at Imeson Landing Business Park will allow Loomis to expand its services in the Jacksonville market.

Loomis Armored LLC has nearly 200 branch locations, 10,000 employees, more than 3,200 vehicles and more than 46,000 SafePoint locations serviced.

Loomis now operates in Jacksonville at 3111 Spring Park Road near Emerson Street and Interstate 95.

Loomis Armored US LLC owns the 11,500-square-foot building on 1.2 acres. Property records show it as built in 1958.

Wells Fargo Armored Service Corp. deeded it to Loomis, Fargo & Co. in 1997.

Imeson Landing is at Imeson Park Boulevard and Zoo Parkway.

It will comprise five light industrial buildings from 39,000 to 69,000 square feet in size.

Merritt Properties is a commercial real estate developer with offices in Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.
