Cool Eddy’s to hold grand opening in Julington Creek

The shop offers soft-serve ice cream and Italian ice.

Cool Eddy’s, a shop that offers soft-serve ice cream and Italian ice, announced its grand opening will be July 8-9 in Julington Creek.

The store is at 2750 Race Track Road, No. 306, in the Publix-anchored Plantation Plaza shopping center.

Cool Eddy is the Yeti mascot for the shop, which offers 24 flavors of Italian Ice, soft-serve ice cream, 16 flavors of milkshakes, and gelati that combines Italian ice and soft ice cream.

It also offers toppings, including gummy bears, Reese’s, brownie bites and sprinkles.

As part of the grand opening, the store will offer free ice creams, Italian ice and gelati. There will be face painting, activities and gift certificate giveaways.

The CEO and founder of Cool Eddy’s is Rob Kluba, who founded the ExpressTax franchise and sold it to H&R Block in 2006. H&R Block discontinued the brand in 2011.

“I was looking around for my next business venture and came across the ice cream and Italian ice concept and was struck by its appeal,” Kluba said in a news release.

“And judging by the reception we’ve received so far I am convinced this is a concept that will a hit with customers and investors alike.” 

Store hours are noon to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“The unique and cool interior of Cool Eddy’s features vibrant colors, playful decor, and eye-catching designs that are unlike anything you’ve seen before,” Klubla said in the release. 

“We are not your ordinary Ice Cream Shop.”
