The grand opening for Insomnia Cookies at 47 W. Adams St. in Downtown Jacksonville is 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 18.

The store is in the Elks Building at Adams and Laura streets near the Jimmy Johns sandwich shop.

It’s the second Insomnia Cookies in Jacksonville. The first is in Tinseltown Plaza at 4549 Southside Blvd.  

The Philadelphia-based company is known for serving and delivering cookies until the early morning hours. 

The store is the company’s 10th in Florida and its 244th nationwide, the company said in a July 12 news release.

In-person customers on July 18 will receive one free Classic cookie. Delivery customers also get a free Classic cookie, the release said.

The release said 15% of in-store sales July 18 at the Downtown location will be donated to Feeding Northeast Florida.

Insomnia Cookies selections include its Classic Chocolate Chunk, Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe cookies. It also offers cookies with ice cream and brookies, brownies and blondies. There are vegan options and a rotating limited-edition menu.

The Downtown store hours are noon to 1 a.m. Sunday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday-Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday; and noon to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The city issued a permit May 12 for Insomnia Cookies to add a storefront Downtown in the Elks Building.

Vision General Contractors of GA is the contractor for the $196,860 project to renovate a 1,154-square-foot space. ArcVision of St. Louis, Missouri, is the architect.
