Breeze Airways launches nonstop to Providence, Rhode Island

The service is Mondays and Fridays with fares starting at $79 if bought by July 24.

Breeze Airways announced a nonstop route from Jacksonville to Providence, Rhode Island.

The service will begin Nov. 3 with service on Mondays and Fridays, with fares starting from $79 one way if purchased by July 24.

The $79 promotion is available only when booking a new reservation for travel between JAX-PVD. The promotion is valid only for travel from Nov. 3, 2023, through Jan. 9, 2024, and excludes travel Nov. 18, 2023, through Nov. 27, 2023, and Dec. 21, 2023, through Jan. 8, 2024. 

From Jacksonville, Breeze also services Columbus, Ohio; Hartford, Connecticut; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; New Orleans; Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; and Westchester County, New York.

Breeze offers 58 nonstop routes in and out of Florida.

“In just over one year, Breeze has grown tremendously at JAX Airport,” Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Mark VanLoh said July 18 in a news release.

“They now offer the Northeast Florida community reasonable fares and nonstop flights to some of our largest unserved destinations on both coasts and points in-between.” 

Breeze offers bundled and separate options known as “Nice, Nicer and, on flights operated with the Airbus A220-300, Nicest.”

The release said the Nicest bundle includes Breeze Ascent, two checked bags, and complimentary snacks and beverages, including alcohol. Breeze Ascent also offers a business-style seat with power outlets.

Breeze flies a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220 aircraft. The carrier has ordered 80 A220s, with options for 40 more.  

The airline said it does not charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes before departure and offers free family seating and a la carte pricing. 

Breeze Airways began service in May 2021 and offers more than 150 year-round and seasonal nonstop routes between 35 cities in 21 states.
