Anna Brosche confirmed as city CFO

A CPA for nearly 30 years, she became the interim financial department head in October.

City Council unanimously confirmed Anna Brosche to be Jacksonville’s chief financial officer at its meeting Nov. 14.

Mayor Donna Deegan announced Brosche as her pick to lead the city’s financial department June 14. 

Brosche succeeded Mike Weinstein as acting CFO in October.

Brosche received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of North Florida and became a CPA nearly 30 years ago.

Her career includes senior audit associate at Ernst & Young from 1995-98, director of finance at Draughton Professional Association 1998-2002, managing shareholder at Ennis, Pellum & Associates CPAs 2002-19 and relationship partner at BDO Alliance USA 2019-23.

She was elected to an at-large Council seat in 2015, was 2017-18 Council president and a candidate for mayor in 2019.
