A Philadelphia-based real estate investment and development group bought the 29-acre ConGlobal intermodal depot in North Jacksonville for $15.63 million.

Through Alta Drive Partners LLC, Alterra Property Group LLC bought the property Nov. 13 from ConGlobal Industries LLC of Darien, Illinois.

The conglobal.com site shows the Jacksonville Alta Depot at 10458 Alta Drive. City records show it at 10470 Alta Road.

“The land we occupy on Alta Rd was sold to Alterra. We have a long-term lease on the property and will remain on site for years to come,” said Jeff Loucks, ConGlobal vice president of operations-depot, in an email Nov. 21.

Loucks said the property is a container depot affiliated with shipping through JaxPort.

The site is in an industrial area off of Interstate 295.

ConGlobal owns intermodal and container yards.

Alterra Property Group says at alterraproperty.com that it is an established real estate investment, development, and management company focused on residential/mixed-use development and industrial outdoor storage.

Alterra Industrial Outdoor Storage has more than 200 properties in more than 30 states with more than 20 sites available for lease.

Its site says that in Florida, it has an 11.5-acre site available to lease in Medley in South Florida.
