The city is reviewing civil engineering plans for Starbucks Coffee Co. to build at northeast Beach and Kernan boulevards next to Shipley Do-Nuts in the Tamaya Market shopping center.

Plans show that Starbucks plans a 2,827-square-foot restaurant on about an acre at 12645 Beach Blvd.

A JEA service availability report showed a Starbucks and drive-thru with 46 inside seats and 30 patio seats.

The site is next to the Tamaya Market shopping center anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market and the Shipley Do-Nuts shop.

Ladera Properties of Fort Worth, Texas, is shown as the developer. Atlanta-based BBKR Development Partners LLC is the owner.

CPH Inc. of Jacksonville is the civil engineer. JAW Architects of Burleson, Texas, is the architect.

BBKR Development Partners paid $4.85 million in August 2022 for the 8.42-acre corner at Beach and Kernan. It bought the vacant land from Tamaya Loan Acquisition Inc.
