Cotten’s Bar-B-Que in Arlington is converting into a Tunis Seafood Wings Burgers Gyro restaurant

The signs are up and the city is reviewing a permit application for the addition of a fire suppression system for Tunis at a job cost of $1,000.

Cotten’s, at 2048 Rogero Road, closed in February as owners and spouses Fred Jr. and Yvonne Cotten decided to retire 36 years after opening the restaurant in 1987.

Salem2048 LLC of Jacksonville bought the 1,700-square-foot building June 29 for $410,000. It was built in 1971.

Led by Salem Makhlouf, Salem2048 LLC bought the property from the Cottens.
