Enhanced Recovery Company LLC, doing business as ERC/Enhanced Resource Centers, filed a notice with the state saying it is closing its facility at 8014 Bayberry Road in Jacksonville, putting 164 people out of work.

A Sept. 15 letter sent by the company’s attorney under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act said the company “has decided to stop doing business in North Florida.”

The company’s website lists the facility at 8014 Bayberry Road as its corporate office, and also lists branch offices in Orange Park and Waycross, Georgia. The WARN letter does not say anything about the branch offices.

The letter said “some employees have been offered transfers to other job sites but the company does not yet know how many employees will accept the transfer offers.”

According to an October 2022 news release, ERC was acquired by Lenexa, Kansas-based One True Holding Co., which does business as TrueML.

The release said ERC is a leading debt collections provider.

“The deal will bring ERC under the TrueML family of companies to accelerate TrueML’s mission of creating a better experience for distressed consumers,” it said.

The 164 workers will be separated from employment between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, the WARN letter said.
