HD Supply leases space in Gramercy Woods in South Jacksonville

The city is reviewing permits for more than a $1 million build-out on three floors.

The city is reviewing three permit applications for HD Supply in Gramercy Woods along Southside Boulevard at a combined project cost of $1 million.

The distribution company would lease space on the first, fifth and sixth floors of the 10-story office structure at 9000 Southside Blvd., Building 100. Gramercy Woods is near The Avenues mall.

Spartan Construction LLC of Ponte Vedra Beach is the contractor. Studio 9 Architecture & Interior Design of Jacksonville is the architect.

Jacksonville commercial real estate companies said in fourth-quarter market reports that HD Supply would lease about 55,000 to 56,000 square feet in the building. One identifies it as HD Supply Facilities Maintenance Ltd.

The plans don’t explain the uses of the space, but HD Supply is hiring for collections, customer service and related positions in Jacksonville.

Plans show HD Supply would lease 2,349 square feet on the first floor and the entire fifth and sixth floors at 21,820 square feet each, totaling 45,989 square feet.

The permit information describes the work as drywall, paint, floor, plumbing, HVAC and electrical for offices, open office areas, classrooms, conference rooms multipurpose rooms and lounge areas.

The first floor use is security, conference, flex and mail room space.

Atlanta-based HD Supply sells maintenance, repair, and operations products and operates more than 40 distribution centers in 25 states.

HDSupply.com says HD Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Home Depot, is a wholesale distribution company serving customers and their communities across the multifamily, institutional, hospitality, trades, government housing, health care, building services and education industries through more than 100 distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada.  

Its site says it has corporate offices in two locations at 8948 Western Way and 5151-A Shawland Road.

It has facilities warehouses in West Jacksonville.
