The grand opening of the second Red Owl Coffee Co. location in Northeast Florida is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13.

The drive-thru is at 5720 University Blvd. W. in a renovated former car wash near Barnes Road in the Englewood area.

The Red Owl is franchised to Dalton Hart, Dagen Anderson and Darren Rackley, who plan to open 15 locations over the next five to seven years throughout the Jacksonville area, Florida franchise development partner Michael Stadnicki told the Daily Record in September.

“Red Owl Coffee Company looks forward to bringing Florida residents our small batch fresh roasted coffee, hand-crafted espresso and smoothie drinks along with our tasty breakfast sandwiches,” Stadnicki said in that report.

Southern Grace Homes LLC of Saint Johns was the contractor for the 370-square-foot, almost $198,000 project.

Red Owl’s first area location is at 208 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park. The chain has a total of 12 stores in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

It has stores planned for Tallahassee, St. Augustine Beach and Ocala.

The privately held company was founded in Valdosta, Georgia, by Will Paulo and Jon Chancy in 2016.

It sells coffees, smoothies, milkshakes, cider, energy drinks and teas. Food items include wraps, salads and croissant and bagel sandwiches.

It specializes in in-house roasting of its coffee beans and has three blends available for purchase to take home.

During the grand opening, all menu items will be 50% off.
