EggBoy, a new breakfast and lunch concept, opened April 16 in Atlantic Beach.

It is the first location for the fast-casual restaurant, which specializes in breakfast sandwiches.

The 1,200-square-foot store, which is built to look like a New York City bodega, is at 1241 Mayport Road.

EggBoy is at 1241 Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach.

It has limited indoor and outdoor seating.

EggBoy is a sister company of Tallahassee-based Canopy Road Café, which serves breakfast and lunch and has two area locations: at 12525 Philips Highway in the Shoppes of Bayard in Jacksonville, and at 90 Shops Blvd., No. 10, in the Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway in Saint Johns.

Brothers Nick and Zachary Presti, in partnership with Canopy Road Café CEO and co-founder Brad Buckenheimer, came up with the EggBoy concept.

The brothers opened the Jacksonville Canopy Road Café in 2019. There are plans for a Mandarin Canopy Road Café later this year.

The EggBoy menu features sandwiches, pastries, specialty coffees and tea. Prices are $8 to $13.

Food items are made from scratch and bread is baked in Jacksonville. It is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“Our vision for EggBoy is to bring something new and unique to Jacksonville that can be replicated and set up for growth in the future,” said Nick and Zachary Presti in an April 16 news release.

“Through our experience in operating Canopy Road Café, we saw that breakfast sandwiches ranked as one of the most ordered menu items, and realized the potential in what we could bring to the market.”
