Rayonier announced April 25 that The Church of Eleven22 will build a campus in Wildlight, the master-planned community in Nassau County.

The 10.52-acre site is south of Florida 200 across from Crosstown Boulevard east of Interstate 95, according a news release.

The campus will include a 40,000-square-foot sanctuary and worship center that can accommodate more than 1,000 people.

Gainesville-based Scherer Construction is leading the design-build project. Jacksonville-based Basham & Lucas Design Group is the architect.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer with completion in 2026. A mobile campus is expected to launch later this year to serve as a temporary worship center for the community.

According to the Nassau County Property Appraiser website, The Church of Eleven22 Inc. bought the land Dec. 15 for $1.7 million from Wildlight LLC, owned by timber and real estate company Rayonier Inc.

The Church of Eleven22 plans to build a 40,000-square-foot sanctuary and worship center in Wildlight that can accommodate more than 1,000 people.

Wildlight is being developed by Raydient Places + Properties, a Rayonier Inc. subsidiary.

It will be the church’s 14th campus. The congregation primarily operates in Northeast Florida and in Jessup, Georgia, about 100 miles north of Jacksonville.

The Church of Eleven22 website says Lead Pastor Joby Martin founded the church in Jacksonville in 2012. Its main campus is at 14286 Beach Blvd. off San Pablo Road near the Publix Super Market at Intracoastal Plaza.

Eleven22 stands for Mark chapter 11, verse 22 in the New Testament of the Bible.

“Welcoming The Church of Eleven22 to Wildlight signifies more than just the establishment of a physical campus; it represents our commitment to fostering a flourishing community,” Wes Hinton, vice president of Wildlight, said in the release. “We believe that the inclusion of Eleven22 will enrich the fabric of Wildlight while creating more opportunities for connection.”

About half of the 2,900-acre Wildlight community is devoted to green space and the other half comprises a mix of homes, shops, restaurants, schools and medical facilities. It is 20 minutes from Downtown Jacksonville and Amelia Island.

According to Raydient.com it “develops, builds, markets and sells ‘places and properties’ ranging from multi-use communities and industrial parks to rural homesteads.”
