The 5th Element Indian Restaurant & Bar will open April 29 in Town Center, according to owner Sridhar Sannala.

The restaurant, at 10208 Buckhead Branch Drive,  is in the former Kamiya 86 space near Ethan Allen and west of the St. Johns Town Center Nordstrom.

The 5th Element closed at 9551 Baymeadows Road this year when its lease was not renewed. The restaurant operated in the Baymeadows location for 17 years.

Through SK Jaxs LLC, 5th Element owners Sannala and Koteswara Rao Putikam bought the Town Center property in July for $2.4 million.

Restaurateur Jacques Klempf sold it through Buckhead Equities LLC.

The structure was built on 1.05 acres in 2006.

Klempf opened the Original Pancake House on the site, closed it and in 2012 opened Ovinte there. It operated until 2017.

The building was then leased to Kamiya 86, a sushi bar and restaurant. It operated until the property was sold.

Klempf owns the Cowford Chophouse Downtown.

Sannala said the build-out costs were about $500,000.

The 5th Element is open daily. Monday through Thursday it offers a buffet from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with dinner service from 5-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Sannala and Rao Putikam also have 5th Element restaurants in Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, Sanford, Pompano Beach and Delray Beach.
