The closed Safe Harbor Seafood Restaurant property in Crescent Beach sold April 26 for $1.525 million.

The 0.16-acre property comprises two buildings at 6896 A1A S. according to St. Johns County property records. It is about 100 yards west of the Crescent Beach access.

The restaurant is 2,608 square feet and there is an adjoining 940-square-foot single-family residence. Both were built in 1950.

The buyers are Nathan Stuart and Margo Klar, owners of the Fish House & Oyster Co.

Christopher and Deanna Wooten of Neptune Beach sold the restaurant through Safe Harbor Properties (Crescent Beach) LLC to Fish House Holdings 2 LLC of St. Augustine.

Safe Harbor operates a seafood market at 4371 Ocean St. and a waterfront seafood restaurant at 4378 Ocean St. in Atlantic Beach near Mayport.

The company also owns Sliders Oyster Bar at 218 First St. in Neptune Beach, just west of Pete’s Bar.

There are Fish House & Oyster Co. restaurants in New Berlin, Julington Creek, St. Augustine and Orange Park.

It also operates the Tally Fish House & Oyster Bar in Tallahassee and The Boat House in Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Augustine.

Outback Crab Shack on County Road 13 near St. Augustine near World Golf Village is closed with plans to reopen it. The company held a job fair for the restaurant in April, according to its Facebook page.

The Wootens bought the property from Paulus Beachside Grill LLC for $800,000 in February 2019.

According to a worker at the Safe Harbor in Mayport, the St. Augustine restaurant closed about six months ago.
