Two more Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers will open in Duval County next year, the health insurer announced Aug. 29.
The facilities are at 8102 Blanding Blvd., in the Crossroads Square shopping center north of Interstate 295 in Southwest Jacksonville; and 11160 Beach Blvd., in the St. Johns Square II shopping center at southwest Beach Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road. That is considered the Windy Hill and Sandalwood area of Southside.
They are expected to open Jan. 1 to all Florida Blue customers, it said in a news release.
Florida Blue opened its first Sanitas Medical Center on Jan. 2 at 9400 Atlantic Blvd, Unit 11, in the Regency area of Arlington. That primary care facility is for patients age 50 and older.
Services provided include primary care, mental well-being support, common labs, social support, connections to community support programs, and the option to choose in-person or 24/7 virtual visits, according to the release.
Florida Blue opened the first of these facilities with Sanitas and its parent company, Keralty, in 2015 in South Florida. There are 56 locations in Florida. Another 10 are expected to open in 2025.
Keralty, based in Bogota, Colombia, is a global healthcare organization.
“With the opening of additional Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers, we’re continuing to increase access to high-touch care that is personalized for the unique physical, mental, and social needs of each patient,” said Dr. Elana Schrader, senior vice president of Florida Blue healthcare services and president of GuideWell Health, in the release.
“Patients have an entire care team with them every step of the way, assessing their physical, emotional and social needs.”
