Nordstrom Rack seems to have scheduled its Jacksonville Beach store opening.

A sign on the top of the store at the South Beach Regional shopping center states that “Nordstrom Rack Opens May 2.”

Nordstromrack.com also announces the May 2 store opening at 3818 S. Third St.

Nordstrom Inc. said April 13 it will open a 30,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack store in Jacksonville Beach in the spring of 2024. It is taking the former Stein Mart space at the 3740-4194 S. Third St. shopping plaza.

Jacksonville-based Regency Centers Corp. owns the center, along South Third Street north of Butler Boulevard.

“The addition perfectly complements the shopping center’s strong merchandising mix and provides an additional community favorite shopping destination serving the greater Beaches area and eastern Jacksonville communities,” said Eric Apple, leasing agent for Regency Centers, in the April 2023 news release.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the Seattle-based department store chain.

The company has operated a Nordstrom Rack store at The Markets at Town Center on Jacksonville’s Southside since 2013 and opened a full-line 124,000-square-foot store nearby at St. Johns Town Center in 2014.

When the Jacksonville Beach store opens, Nordstrom will have six full-line stores and 18 Nordstrom Rack stores in Florida.

Nordstrom also announced a new look for its brand.

Landlord Regency Centers Corp. shows Bath & Body Works is planned for Space 35 and J. Crew Factory for Space 37 at the South Beach Regional shopping center in Jacksonville Beach. Nordstrom Rack is shown in space C.

“The new branding celebrates and reflects the bold, authentic, empowered and expressive spirit of our customers while showing them even more ways to Rack whether they shop on our website, app or at one of our Nordstrom Rack stores,” it said in a news release.

J. Crew Factory and Bath & Body Works also appear to be joining South Beach Regional shopping center next to Nordstrom Rack.

Regency Centers has both stores listed on its property brochure for the center, showing J. Crew Factory in 5,785 square feet and Bath & Body Works in 3,000 square feet near the 29,735-square-foot Nordstrom Rack.

All three appear to be under construction and are fronted by a construction screen.

Factory.JCrew.com says J. Crew Factory sells clothing at 40% to 70% off everything with additional deals.

Bath & Body Works, a personal care, fragrance and candle store, has at least seven operating locations in Northeast Florida.
