Daybreak Markets to open with $1.76-a-gallon gas the first day for customers using the app

The Collins Road location opens Jan. 6 and the San Jose Boulevard site follows Jan. 13.

Motiva Enterprises and Latitude Ventures announced that two Daybreak Markets with branded 76 gas stations will open in the next two weeks in Jacksonville, offering unleaded gas on opening days for $1.76 per gallon for customers who download the Fuel Forward app.

The 9 a.m.-4 p.m. grand openings are scheduled for:

• Jan. 6 at 6655 Collins Road.

• Jan. 13 at 11470 San Jose Blvd.

A news release said each event starts at 8:45 a.m. with a $10,000 donation by Daybreak Market to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.

The $1.76 per gallon unleaded gas is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the opening days for customers using the app.

During the grand openings and while supplies last, Daybreak Market will feature 76-cent food and drink specials along with activities, giveaways and music.

The Daybreak Market is scheduled to open Jan. 6 at 6655 Collins Road.

“In addition to representing the powerful paring of the new Daybreak Market concept and an iconic brand like 76 to serve customers quality products every day, our two grand opening events give us the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the communities we serve through job creation and local charitable support,” said Hani Baskaron, CEO of Latitude Ventures LLC, in a news release.

Latitude Ventures, the local wholesaler, intends to open two more Daybreak/76 locations in Odessa and Fort Myers in the coming weeks and will again donate $10,000 to Susan G. Komen at each event for a total among the Jacksonville and other new locations of $40,000.

Houston-based Motiva Enterprises refines, distributes and markets petroleum products throughout the Americas. 

Under exclusive, long-term brand licenses with Shell and with Phillips 66 for the 76 brand, Motiva’s marketing operations support more than 5,000 retail gasoline stations. Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco.

The 76 brand is a registered trademark owned by Phillips 66 Co. and licensed for exclusive use by Motiva Enterprises LLC in 26 Gulf and East Coast states. 

Baskaron owns 15 Florida sites, of which 10 are open and five more will open this year.

The Daybreak Market in Beachwalk along Florida 210 in St. Johns County is open.

All Daybreak Markets are part of Latitude Ventures JV LLC, of which Baskaron is CEO and majority owner.
