It was a festive and heartwarming December for the Jacksonville Bar Association.

Early in the month, we joined forces with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to collaborate with Aging True Meals on Wheels in an annual tradition initiative.

Together, we provided nearly 300 older adults with thoughtful holiday gifts donated and wrapped by our members, spreading joy and warmth during the festive season.

Having had the privilege to participate in this meaningful holiday project once again, I had the opportunity to connect with many of the recipients.

The gratitude expressed by them was touching, as some mentioned that without this program, they might not have received any gifts this holiday season.

As December unfolded, the JBA came together for our annual Bench and Bar Holiday Party on Dec. 14. The Wells Fargo Center lobby was a vibrant venue where nearly 400 members and guests gathered to reconnect and celebrate the approaching year.

Even as we have bid farewell to 2023, it marks only the halfway point of this Bar year.

The Jacksonville Bar Association eagerly anticipates a dynamic calendar of events and programs that lie ahead.

With enthusiasm and commitment, we look forward to continuing our community engagement and making a positive impact throughout the remainder of the year.
