Reality TV personality Capt. Sandy Yawn and her partner, Leah Shafer, purchased a home in Twenty Mile in Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, for $1,612,902 on Jan. 26.

The house is at 72 Bear Point on 0.39 acres.

Pineapple Corporation of Jacksonville Inc. was the seller.

Yawn appears on the Bravo series “Below Deck Mediterranean.” The series follows the escapades of the captain, crew and guests on a luxury yacht.

“Below Deck Mediterranean” concluded its eighth season Jan. 24. Season nine will premier either in late 2024 or early 2025 according to parade.com.

Yawn made local news when she announced plans to open a nautical-themed restaurant in a former tire store at  618 W. Adams St.

Yawn, through Miami Beach-based Yawn Properties LLC, bought the building in June 2020 for $185,000.

The restaurant is tentatively named Maritime 618.

Originally set for a 2021 opening, the building was in such a state of disrepair that it was demolished in March 2023.

In 2021, Yawn and business partner Chad Quist were seeking investors for the estimated $5 million project.

The maritime618.com website still states that the restaurant is coming in November 2021.

She has also proposed bringing a Formula 1 car race to Jacksonville at an estimated cost of $40 million.
