Burger King, Fit2Run issued permits to build-out in The Avenues mall

The regional shopping center in South Jacksonville has been adding retail tenants, including The Copper Closet and Designers Closet.

Burger King and Fit2Run The Runner’s Superstore are joining The Avenues mall at 10300 Southside Blvd.

The city issued a permit May 31 for The Malle Co. Inc. of Saint Johns to build-out a 2,524-square-foot space in the upper-level food court for Burger King at a project cost of $269,000. Burger King is being built-out next to Chick-fil-A.

That followed a permit issued May 24 for Planit Construction USA Inc. to build-out 4,042 square feet of space in No. 218 at a project cost of $262,493. It is on the second level between Spencer Gifts and American Eagle Outfitters, across the corridor from Forever 21.

Recently opened retailers include clothing stores The Copper Closet, on the upper level near Forever 21, and Designers Closet, on the lower level near Dillard’s.

The Copper Closet is described as an affordable women’s boutique where everything is $45 or less. It recently closed a store at St. Johns Town Center.

Designers Closet is described as a modern urban streetwear store that sells clothing lines that cross over from premium, streetwear, urban wear and athletic wear. 

The Avenues is a regional shopping mall at Southside Boulevard and Philips Highway near Interstate 95. Simon Property Group is the landlord.
